    A motion was made by LaNelle Ramey, seconded by Edward Fallone, that this Fire and Police Resolution be ADOPTED. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote:

    A motion was made by LaNelle Ramey and seconded by Fred Crouther to go into closed session to discuss this item. The motion carried unanimously. Following the conclusion of closed session, a motion was made by Fred Crouther, seconded by LaNelle Ramey, that this Fire and Police Commission Communication be HELD TO CALL OF THE CHAIR. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote:

  8. The Board may receive a motion to convene in closed session in City Hall, room 301-B, 200 East Wells Street, on item 3 on the agenda, pursuant to Section 19.85 (1)(d) Wis. Stats. to consider strategy for crime detection or prevention, pursuant to section 19.85 (1)(e) Wis. Stats. for purposes of deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business which requires a closed session for competitive or bargaining reasons, or pursuant to Section 19.85 (1)(g) Wis. Stats. to confer with representatives from the City Attorney's Office who will render oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by the Board with respect to litigation in which it is or is likely to become involved. The Board may then reconvene in open session concerning this item following the closed session. This meeting may also simultaneously constitute a meeting of the Fire and Police Commission or any of the following committees or subcommittees: Research and Rules, Testing and Recruiting, Policies and Standards. Whether a simultaneous meeting is occurring depends on whether the presence of one or more of the Fire and Police Commission members results in a quorum or a negative quorum of the Commission or another committee and whether any agenda items listed above involve matters within that committee's realm of authority. In the even that a simultaneous meeting is occurring, no action other than information gathering will be taken at the simultaneous meeting. Upon reasonable notice, efforts will be made to accommodate the needs of persons with disabilities through sign language interpreters or auxiliary aids.
