The Commission went into a closed session at 12:23 p.m. and came back into open session at 1:13 p.m. The Commission found based on a preponderance of the evidence that the Department had just cause to discipline the appellant, Ms. Bowie. DPW Work Rule 1.8, "Sick Leave", was not considered. APPROVED Aye 5 (Bock, Miller, Smith, Cleary, Wick Spoerl) No: 0 The Commission found based on a preponderance of the evidence that the Department's Discharge action be denied and that Ms. Bowie be reinstated without back pay. - ADJOURNMENT
- The Board may convene in closed session pursuant to Section 19.85 (1)(a) Wis. Stats., to deliberate concerning a case which was the subject of a quasi-judicial hearing before the Board of City Service Commissioners. The Board may then reconvene in open session concerning any such item following the closed session pursuant to Section 19.85 (2) Wis. Stats.
