  13. City Clerk Toya J. Johnson stated, "Our first order of business this evening is to elect a temporary President to preside for the purpose of electing a Permanent President of City Council."
  14. President Hardin assumed the chair and opened the floor for nominations for President Pro Tem of Council. Councilmember Christopher Wyche nominated Councilmember Rob Dorans as President Pro Tem of City Council. President Hardin asked if there were any other nominations for President Pro Tem of City Council. Hearing none, the floor was closed for nominations. Roll Call by Voice on the nomination of Rob Dorans. All voted in the affirmative.

  18. Temporary President Johnson opened the floor for nominations for Permanent President of Council. Councilmember Lourdes Barroso de Padilla nominated Councilmember Shannon G. Hardin as President of City Council. Temporary President Johnson asked if there were any other nominations for President of City Council. Hearing none, the floor was closed for nominations. Roll Call by Voice on the nomination of Shannon G. Hardin. All voted in the affirmative.
