- Alcoholic Beverage Advisory Group Meeting The City of Kansas City, Missouri’s, Alcohol Beverage Advisory Group will conduct an emergency meeting on Friday, September 3, at 9:00 a.m. The meeting will be held remotely by video/telephone conference. At this meeting, the Alcohol Beverage Advisory Group will discuss amending Chapter 10, Code of Ordinances, which have been proposed to multiple sections of the ordinance. The Alcoholic Beverage Advisory Group consists of 12 members from the community and the manager of the Regulated Industries Division. The purpose of the group is to review City ordinances from Chapter 10 on a routine basis and review recommendations accordingly. The recommendations are made with regard to public safety and take into consideration new standards and advances within the liquor industry as they may apply to the current liquor laws. When the Chair of the group asks for public testimony, you can click on “raise your hand” at the top of the screen and staff will bring you into the discussion. Once you are brought into the discussion you will be visible to the Group and will be able to speak and be heard.
