1. Call to Order

   Vice Chair Engel called the meeting to order at 3:01 PM.

2. Roll Call

   Vice Chair Engel introduced the committee members present. A quorum was established. Committee Member Butler arrived at 3:02 PM and left at 3:25 PM. Committee Member Lanshima left at 3:34 PM.

4. 1. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT $120,000 FROM THE KENTUCKY TRANSPORTATION CABINET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2018-2019 BIKE/PEDESTRIAN/MOTORIST EDUCATION AND SAFETY CAMPAIGN GRANT TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS & ASSETS.

   Action: recommended for approval Passed

   A motion was made by Committee Member Benson, seconded by Committee Member Butler, that this Resolution be recommended for approval. Tammy Markert, Public Works and Assets, and Committee Member Coan spoke to the item. The motion carried by a voice vote and the Resolution was sent to the Consent Calendar.

5. 2. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT $120,000 FROM THE KENTUCKY TRANSPORTATION CABINET FOR THE DESIGN PHASE OF THE RIVER ROAD MULTI-MODAL IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT GRANT TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS & ASSETS.

6. 3. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT $290,000 FROM THE KENTUCKY TRANSPORTATION CABINET FOR THE PLANNING PHASE OF THE CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT TRAFFIC MODEL PROJECT GRANT TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS & ASSETS.

7. 4. AN ORDINANCE AWARDING A COMMUNICATIONS SERVICES FRANCHISE TO MCIMETRO ACCESS TRANSMISSION SERVICES CORP. D/B/A VERIZON ACCESS TRANSMISSION SERVICES PURSUANT TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS IN CHAPTER 116 OF THE LOUISVILLE METRO CODE OF ORDINANCES.

   A motion was made by Committee Member Stuckel, seconded by Committee Member Lanshima, that this Ordinance be recommended for approval. Jeff Derouen, Jefferson County Attorney's Office, and Brian Augustine, Verizon, spoke to the item. Committee Member Butler stated that she would abstain from voting on this item due to her employment with LG&E and any perceived conflicts. The motion carried by the following vote and the Ordinance was sent to Old Business:
