1. Call to Order

   Chair Arthur called the meeting to order at 3:09 p.m.

2. Roll Call

   Chair Arthur introduced the committee members and non-committee members present. A quorum was established. *NOTE: All Committee members and non-committee members present attended in Chambers, except Vice Chair Parker, Committee Member Mulvihill and Council Member Seum, who attended virtually.

4. 1. Metro Parks Golf Contracts - Nathan Maiwald, Metro Parks
   Discussion Item

   Nathan Maiwald, Metro Parks, gave an overview of the proposals for the golf contracts for Cherokee and Sun Valley Parks. Committee Member Fowler also spoke to this item.

6. 2. A RESOLUTION OPPOSING THE SEIZURE OF CONSERVATION LAND FOR THE PURPOSE OF BUILDING A NATURAL GAS PIPELINE THROUGH BERNHEIM ARBORETUM AND RESEARCH FOREST.
   Resolution
   Action: untabled

   A motion was made by Committee Member Baker, seconded by Committee Member Batshon, that this Resolution be untabled. Andrew Berry, Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest, gave an overview on the opposition to the natural gas pipeline construction through Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest. The following also spoke to this item: - Committee Member Fowler - Committee Member Batshon - Committee Member Ruhe - Chair Arthur - Committee Member Owen - Vice Chair Parker [During the discussion, portions of the attached letter titled "Letter from LG&E 032323.pdf" were read into the record by Committee Member Ruhe and Committee Member Batshon.] Deborah Potts Novgorodoff, Kentucky Student Environmental Coalition, gave a presentation (see attached).

7. 3. A RESOLUTION PURSUANT TO THE CAPITAL AND OPERATING BUDGET ORDINANCES APPROVING THE APPROPRIATION TO FUND THE FOLLOWING SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT FOR THE ZOO CONCERNING PARTS, MAINTENANCE, REPAIR AND SERVICE FOR THE ZOO’S ANTIQUE CONSERVATION CAROUSEL - (CAROUSELS AND CARVINGS, INC. - $100,000.00).
   Resolution
   Action: recommended for approval

   A motion was made by Committee Member Mulvihill, seconded by Committee Member Fowler, that this Resolution be recommended for approval. The following spoke to this item: - John Bechter, Louisville Zoo - Committee Member Fowler - Committee Member Batshon - Committee Member Chappell The motion carried by a voice vote and the Resolution was sent to the Consent Calendar.

8. Adjournment

   Without objection, Chair Arthur adjourned the meeting at 4:14 p.m.
