A motion was made by Committee Member Parker, seconded by Vice Chair Peden, that this Resolution be recommended for approval. The following spoke to this item: - Allison Smith, Advanced Planning and Sustainability - Vice Chair Peden - Committee Member Parker - Committee Member Holton Stewart The following was discussed: - Question about whether Phase One was with Johnson Controls - Question about whether this item is a sole source contract - A partnership with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory ("NREL") can help Metro Government secure Federal assistance in the future - NREL is a national laboratory solely dedicated to advancing energy efficiency and renewable energy - Question about whether Metro Council will receive a financial report - Working with NREL will result in significant savings for Metro Government The motion carried by a voice vote and the Resolution was sent to the Consent Calendar.
