A motion was made by Committee Member Parker, seconded by Committee Member Arthur, that this Ordinance be recommended for approval. The following spoke to this item: - Council Member Chambers Armstrong - Committee Member Arthur - Chair Shanklin - Committee Member Owen - Committee Member Hawkins The following was discussed: - A clarification regarding allocated funds and specific qualifications/requirements of the program - An expression of support was shown for this Ordinance - A clarification of the legal support for the allocated funds - Data was shared regarding eviction notices, legal aid and housing processes - Questions were asked regarding the source/access of the shared data, whether the Ordinance was funded with ARP funds or general funds from the Budget Committee and what the criteria was regarding the program - A clarification regarding the data report and source/access as well as a clarification regarding the general funds and criteria for the program - Discussion regarding constituents and Legal Aid - Plans to share the report of data with Council Members and the public The motion carried by the following vote and the Ordinance was sent to the Consent Calendar:

The following also spoke to this item: - Committee Member Arthur - Chair Shanklin The following was discussed: - Stories regarding the foster families involved in the program - Contact information regarding the program was shared - A question was asked regarding the presenter's relationship with Louisville programs and organizations - The presenter clarified she has only worked with non-Louisville programs and organizations - A question was asked regarding a constituent in need of help from a foster program and whether this program could be of service to the constituent - Personal anecdotes were shared of experiences in foster programs - The presenter urged the public to participate in foster programs and explained the various options to do so
