The following spoke to this item: - Council Member Purvis - Chair Shanklin The following was discussed: - Benetha Ellis passed away Monday, November 30, 2020 - Benetha Ellis was an avid member in the community - To honor Benetha Ellis' work in the community, her family, and her legacy, District 5 wants to dedicate the intersection of West Main Street and South 45th Street as "Benetha Ellis Way" The motion carried by a voice vote and the Resolution was sent to the Consent Calendar.
