Dr. Sarah Moyer, Louisville Metro Public Health and Wellness ("LMPHW"), reviewed the information provided on the COVID-19 Dashboard link: https://covid-19-in-jefferson-county-ky-lojic.hub.arcgis.com/ The following spoke to this item: - Dr. Sarah Moyer - Chair Shanklin - Vice Chair Chambers Armstrong - Committee Member Benson The following was discussed: - LMPHW does not consider a person up-to-date on their COVID-19 vaccinations unless s/he has had the booster to fight against the new COVID-19 variants - Questions were asked regarding the percentage of people in District 2 that have been vaccinated and current updates were provided - Questions were asked regarding the COVID-19 cases seen in the category of children under the age of 5 years old and current updates were provided - Questions were asked regarding how the new variants have impacted childcare centers for younger children and current updates were provided - Questions were asked regarding what Metro Government has already done to help during the pandemic and what other suggestions could be provided going forward -- Dr. Sarah Moyer gave many examples on what has already been provided and guidance to what can continue to be done as well as new ideas going forward in the COVID-19 pandemic - Discussion was had regarding the new COVID-19 testing site located in District 2 and the requirements for the site - Concerns were shared regarding the transportation to get to the COVID-19 testing sites -- LMPHW is encouraging people to call their helpline to be set up with transportation to get individuals to their testing locations as well as vaccine appointments - Comments were made about the current COVID-19 updates
