    Chair Person Shanklin called the meeting to order at 1:36 PM.

    Chair Person Shanklin introduced the committee members and non-committee members present. A quorum was established.

    Lisa Osanka, Louisville Metro Housing Authority, updated the committee on the recent Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Section-8 audit, Vision Russell and Beecher Terrace revitalization projects.

  6. 2. A RESOLUTION HONORING ARTHUR M. WALTERS BY DEDICATING THE CORNER OF SOUTH 16TH STREET AND WEST BROADWAY TO BE NAMED “ARTHUR M. WALTERS WAY” IN HIS HONOR.
    Resolution
    Action: recommended for approval Passed

    A motion was made by Committee Member Woolridge, seconded by Committee Member Welch, that this Resolution be recommended for approval. Council Member Sexton Smith spoke to the item. Chair Person Shanklin and Member Woolridge requested to be co-sponsors of the resolution. Council Member Sexton Smith agreed. The motion carried by a voice vote and the Resolution was sent to Old Business to allow the sponsor to speak to the item before the full Council.

    Without objection, Chair Person Shanklin adjourned the meeting at 2:32 PM. *NOTE: Items sent to the Consent Calendar or Old Business will be heard before the full Council at the Metro Council Meeting on August 23, 2018.
