    Chair Person Woolridge called the meeting to order at 3:02 p.m. and introduced the members and non-members that were present. A quorum was established.

R-193-14 A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING CITIES FOR THE CONVENTION ON THE ELIMINATION OF ALL FORMS OF DISCRIMINATION AGAINST WOMEN (CEDAW) INITIATIVE BY THE LOUISVILLE METRO COUNCIL AND SUPPORT OF INDIVIDUAL CITIES PASSING RESOLUTIONS AND ORDINANCES TO IMPLEMENT THE PRINCIPLES OF THE UN CONVENTION ON THE ELIMINATION OF ALL FORMS OF DISCRIMINATION AGAINST WOMEN AT THE LOCAL LEVEL (As Amended).

    Action: recommended for approval Passed

    A motion was made by Council Member Welch, seconded by Council Member Shanklin, that this Resolution be reconsidered. A motion to table was made by Council Member Fleming, seconded by Vice Chair Parker, that this resolution be tabled. The motion failed by a voice vote. The Resolution allows for a voice vote, however at the request of Council Member Fleming a roll call vote was taken. The motion to reconsider carried by the following vote and the Ordinance was sent to Old Business with a recommendation to approve:
