    Chair Person Woolridge called the meeting to order at 2:33 p.m. and introduced the members and non-members that were present. A quorum was established.

A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING CITIES FOR THE CONVENTION ON THE ELIMINATION OF ALL FORMS OF DISCRIMINATION AGAINST WOMEN (CEDAW) INITIATIVE BY THE LOUISVILLE METRO COUNCIL AND SUPPORT OF INDIVIDUAL CITIES PASSING RESOLUTIONS AND ORDINANCES TO IMPLEMENT THE PRINCIPLES OF THE UN CONVENTION ON THE ELIMINATION OF ALL FORMS OF DISCRIMINATION AGAINST WOMEN AT THE LOCAL LEVEL (As Amended).

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT FUNDING WHEN RECEIVED FROM THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF COUNTY AND CITY HEALTH OFFICIALS (NACCHO) IN THE AMOUNT OF ($15,000) $10,945 TO SUPPORT THE LOUISVILLE METRO DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH & WELLNESS ACCREDITATION EFFORTS TO BECOME AN ACCREDITED LOCAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT. (AS AMENDED) (Action Required By: April 2015)

    A motion was made by Council Member Fleming, seconded by Vice Chair Parker, that this Resolution be recommended for approval by the Metro Council. A motion was made by Council Member Welch, seconded by Council Member Fleming, that this Resolution be amended to change the amount of the grant to amount actually awarded, which is $10,945. The motion carried by a voice vote and the Resolution was amended. The motion to recommend for approval by the Metro Council carried by a voice vote and the Resolution as amended was sent to Old Business.
