    Council President James called the meeting to order at 5:17 p.m. This meeting was held pursuant to KRS 61.826 and Council Rule 5A. All Council Members attended the meeting in Chambers, except for the following who attended virtually via WebEx: - Council Member Shanklin - Council Member Blackwell - Council Member Flood

  8. Presidential Updates

    Council President James provided updates on the following: - Outstanding purchase orders need to be submitted to Edwin Ernest before September 14, 2022 - The Commission created by House Bill 314 is meeting on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. - The Council picnic is Friday, September 16, 2022 at Jefferson Memorial Forest from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. - Metro Human Resources is sending out information about a compensation study - Kentucky League of Cities Conference and Expo will be held in Owensboro, Kentucky from September 20-23, 2022 - National League of Cities Summit will be held in Kansas City from November 17-19, 2022
