    Chair Person Blackwell called the meeting to order at 4:39 PM.

    Chair Person Blackwell introduced the committee members that were present. A quorum was established.

  4. 1. AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $10,000 FROM DISTRICT 1 NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT FUNDS, THROUGH THE OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET, TO THE JEFFERSON COUNTY PUBLIC EDUCATION FOUNDATION, INC. FOR THE INSTALLATION OF PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT AT MAUPIN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.

    A motion was made by Committee Member Johnson, seconded by Committee Member Peden, that this Ordinance be recommended for approval. There was no one present to speak to the item.   5. 2. APPROPRIATING $5,000 FROM DISTRICT 2 NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT FUNDS, THROUGH THE OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET, TO JEFFERSON COUNTY PUBLIC EDUCATION FOUNDATION, INC. FOR PHENOMENAL G.I.R.L. PROGRAM AT INDIAN TRAIL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.

    A motion was made by Committee Member Peden, seconded by Committee Member Sexton Smith, that this Neighborhood Development Fund be approved. Chair Person Blackwell stated an amendment was needed. A motion was made by Committee Member Johnson, seconded by Committee Member Sexton Smith, that this Neighborhood Development Fund be amended to $3,400. The motion to amend carried by a voice vote.

  6. 3. APPROPRIATING $500 FROM DISTRICT 6 NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT FUNDS TO METRO PARKS FOR COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PURCHASING PRACTICE JERSEYS FOR USE AT THE CALIFORNIA COMMUNITY CENTER.

  13. 10. APPROPRIATING $195,000 FROM DISTRICT 22 CAPITAL INFRASTRUCTURE FUNDS TO PUBLIC WORKS FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR BRENTLINGER LANE/CONNECTOR ROAD PROJECT.

    A motion was made by Committee Member Johnson, seconded by Committee Member Peden, that this Capital Infrastructure Fund be approved. Leslie Curneal, District 22 Legislative Assistant, spoke to the item. The motion carried by a voice vote and the Capital Infrastructure Fund was approved.

    A motion was made by Committee Member Peden, seconded by Vice Chair Leet, that this Ordinance be amended to change the funding source from Neighborhood Development funds to Capital Infrastructure funds and change the amount appropriated to $10,0000. The motion to amend carried by a voice vote. Vice Chair Leet stated she needed to abstain because of potential conflicts of interest associated with other developers who have potential projects planned on that corridor. Nick Lococo stated an ordinance is not needed for capital infrastructure funds but a roll call vote is necessary to record Vice Chair Leet's abstention.
