   A motion was made by Vice Chair Schipske, seconded by Councilmember S. Lowenthal, to approve minutes of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee meeting of Wednesday, October 8, 2008. 

4. 2. Recommendation to request a report back from staff regarding the Long Beach library system as it compares to library systems of similar size including, but not limited to, information about staffing levels, size and operating hours.

   Motion to receive and file staff report from the department of Public Works.  Moved by Schipske, seconded by S. Lowenthal.

5. 3. Recommendation to request a report back from staff regarding the Federal Aviation Adminsitration’s (FAA) Green Initiative.

   A motion was made by Chair O'Donnell, seconded by Vice Chair Shipske, to receive and file the staff report on the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) airline greening initiative.

6. 4. Recommendation to City Council to concur in recommendation of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee to receive and forward the presentation of the I-710 Community Livability Plan as referred by the I-710 Oversight Committee.

   A motion was made by S. Lowenthal, seconded by O'Donnell, to receive the report and forward to City Council.
