    A motion was made by Member Mungo, seconded by Chair Austin, to approve recommendation, as amended, [1] to direct staff to conduct research into legislation that has passed in other areas of the country regarding the service industry and policies surrounding minimum wage as it relates to the front of house and back of the house to make sure there is flexibility for business owners to make a determination that the higher earning servers are getting a minimum wage increase when that money could be better allocated to the back of the house; [2] add language to support additional grants for local governments for law enforcement support to eradicate illegal growths; and [3] add language to support additional funding to local governments to support housing animals at animal care shelters beyond 3 days.
