A motion was made by Chair Price, seconded by Vice Chair Supernaw, to approve recommendation, as amended, to refer the item to City Council for consideration of funding for participation in the program as part of our social equity programming that the City will be undertaking to identify funds outside of the Police Department to participate in training. Recommendation to receive report from the Police Department on the current learning domain training requirements through the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training and how many of those trainings involve interactions with individuals experiencing homelessness and mental health issues.
