    A motion was made by Chair Price, seconded by Vice Chair Zendejas, to approve recommendation, as amended, [1] to forward to City Council requesting the City Manager’s office to draft a letter to the Federal Legislative contingency asking that the safety portion of the infrastructure package to include funding for the Police Department to enhance their safety traffic efforts and include the hiring of additional drug recognition experts and traffic support units to conduct proactive traffic enforcement; and [2] to request Public Works to include a list of open projects, funding sources and funding gaps. The motion carried by the following vote:
