A motion was made by Austin, seconded by Andrews, to consider proposed amendment to the Long Beach City Charter, receive comments from the community, and refer for final hearing on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, as amended, to revise redistricting measure to reflect the recommendations in the letter from Common Cause, except for recommendations in No. 6 and No. 11. The motion carried by the following vote:

A motion was made by Austin, seconded by Andrews, to consider proposed amendment to the Long Beach City Charter, receive comments from the community, and refer for final hearing on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, as amended for Section 806 to read as follows: The City Auditor shall be furnished a copy of all reports of a financial nature prepared by any department, commission, office or agency of the City. In the performance of his or her duties, the City Auditor shall have timely and responsible access to all requested city records, including but not limited to financial records, contracts, documents, systems, files, property and other internal records, unless restricted or prohibited by law.
