A motion was made by Chair Morales, seconded by Commissioner De Benedictis, to approve recommendation, as amended, to [1] receive and file the report of the Ad Hoc Committee on the Lobbyist Ordinance; [2] direct the Chair and the Vice Chair to work with staff on the development of a community meeting process with one or more meetings; [3] designate the Ad Hoc Committee on the Lobbyist Ordinance members, Commissioner Wise, Vice Chair Pollack, and Chair Morales attend the community meetings with staff; [4] request each member of the Commission submit questions they want to present to the community for contemplation in advance of those meetings within the next 10 days; and [5] request City staff to conduct an equity analysis, if possible in advance of the community meeting, and determine if the analysis should be referred to the Equity and Human Relations Commission.
