Recommendation to discuss amendments proposed to the Lobbyists Ordinance (Long Beach Municipal Code Chapter 2.08) by the Ad Hoc Committee on the Lobbyist Ordinance, including, community outreach options; and if appropriate, provide a recommendation to the City Council regarding the same and dissolve the Lobbyist Ordinance Ad Hoc Committee.

   A motion was made by Chair Morales, seconded by Commissioner De Benedictis, to approve recommendation, as amended, that the item be continued to the Ethics Commission meeting of Wednesday, March 8, 2023; request the four non-Ad Hoc members review the document and submit comments to staff by the end of February; and request staff to seek input from stakeholders, including, but not limited to lobbyists, advocate groups, and the community via a press release and/or any other options available with the goal to get the feedback to the Commission by the March meeting. The motion carried by the following vote:
