15. 2. Recommendation to receive and file a report on the feasibility of reducing the adult-use cannabis retail tax and the feasibility for repealing the tax for cannabis cultivation.

    A motion was made by Chair Austin, seconded by Member Price, to approve recommendation, as amended, to receive and file report, and to request staff to provide additional information on the feasibility of reducing the Measure MA revenue baseline to approximately $8-10 million (with any revenue above that amount rebated back to those who pay into the tax), and the feasibility of reducing the retail tax between 4-8%, including information on the fiscal impact in FY 23 and FY 24 and potential options to address the impact.
